Job description

Job Overview

Responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output. Duties include creating the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance. The creation of documentation that reports issues and errors relating to the production process with efforts placed to find a solution. Collect and enter data for capability studies and Gage R&R studies. Assist manufacturing operations in basic inspection methods; manufacturing procedures; quality procedures and work instructions. Ensure Quality conformance with Quality Standards.

Duties: (Included, but not limited to)

  • Receiving activities in ERP system
  • Move transactions in ERP system
  • Enter information into Quality Database
  • Receiving inspection activities:
  • Issue NCMR’s: QP 8301 Nonconforming Material Process.doc
  • Inspect Product using Labview testers or Engineering Lab Profiler
  • Complete ISIR or 1st piece inspection process
  • Responsible for quality containment areas organized and accurate

o QC-H6, PPAP, RTV, Returned Goods, etc.

Calibration procedure:

  • QP 7601 Control of monitoring and measuring devices.doc
  • Perform internal calibration activities:

  • Receive and process some RMA’s (with supervisor review):

  • Conduct Internal ISO audits: QP 8202 Internal Audit Process.doc
  • Conduct Supplier Audits: QP 7400 Purchasing and Vendor Control.doc

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality
  • Improve product quality by making recommendations for change
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products
  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards
  • Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems
  • Formulate a strategic plan to increase productivity in the business
  • Document results and findings after inspections are carried out
  • Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Some heavy lifting required up to 70 lbs.

Experience

  • Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and mechanical blueprints.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures for height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and vision inspection systems.
  • Hands-on experience using Calypso or similar calibration management software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, and GMP standards is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quality audits and analyze inspection data effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills to identify root causes of defects or non-conformances.
  • Ability to work with precision measurement instruments such as coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and vision systems confidently.
