We offer thousands of lab tests, including blood tests, DNA tests, paternity tests, drug screening, wellness panels, and vitamin injections — all without a doctor's order.
Our retail clinic in Novi, MI, is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our growing team. This role combines clinical skills with customer service in a modern retail healthcare setting.
The ideal candidate should be able to draw blood, administer injections such as B12, handle specimens, and interact with customers professionally and compassionately.
Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws
  • Administer injections such as Vitamin B12 and other approved wellness injections following protocol
  • Collect and process specimens, including blood, urine, saliva, and buccal swabs
  • Perform drug and alcohol testing following DOT guidelines
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation
  • Enter customer information and test orders into the system
  • Prepare and package specimens for shipment to partner laboratories
  • Maintain chain-of-custody procedures for drug and DNA testing
  • Process payments and prepare receipts using the point-of-sale system
  • Assist customers with test selection and explain services offered
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
  • Track inventory and restock testing supplies and medical materials
  • Assist with employer accounts and corporate testing programs
  • Support local marketing activities and community events
  • Perform end-of-day administrative procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience performing venipuncture
  • Experience administering intramuscular injections
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic laboratory procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a customer-facing healthcare environment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Dependable, reliable, and punctual
Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR certification
  • Sales or customer service experience in healthcare or retail clinics

Current operating hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
