Office Assistant - Entry level


Tristate Tree Service is seeking a dependable and organized Office Assistant to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly behind the scenes so our crews can focus on what they do best.


JOB OVERVIEW


Perfect entry-level opportunity for someone with strong computer skills and a knack for staying organized. This role requires excellent digital organization skills, comfort handling money and customer payments, and a willingness to be out and about running errands in a company vehicle. We'll train you on industry knowledge - we need your tech skills and fresh perspective.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Office Management

• Scan, file, and organize all incoming paper documents


• Handle incoming and outgoing mail


• Deposit checks and run cash to the bank


• Take payments from customers if they come into the office


• Write and send thank-you cards to customers


Office Upkeep


• Ordering office supplies and making supply runs as needed


• Keep office clean and common areas organized


Inventory


• Perform a weekly inventory count of office and shop supplies


• Maintain the count in Excel and flag items running low



Administrative and Errands


• Handle DMV renewals for company vehicles and track expiration dates


• Sort and prepare marketing flyers and deliver them to USPS


• Run errands in a company vehicle - bank, post office, supply pickups, and other urgent trips


Systems Development


• Maintain tracking systems for supplies and paperwork


• Suggest improvements to existing procedures


QUALIFICATIONS


Required


• High school diploma or technical school


• Strong computer skills - Excel proficiency required


• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills


• Valid driver's license with clean record


Ideal Candidate
