For 50 years, DMS Health Technologies has had the honor and privilege of delivering quality medical imaging care and service to our partners and their patients.

We are looking for a full-time Class A CDL Driver! The Class A CDL driver would transport our mobile imaging equipment to correctional facilities located in Beacon, Coxsackie, Malone, Alden, Rome, Romulus, and Elmira, New York.

We offer an excellent compensation package plus, pay the hourly rate door-to-door, mileage reimbursement for all but 60 miles/trip, cell phone stipend, clothing allowance and much more!

Our standard work week is five days a week Monday-Friday, even if you aren't scheduled to work all five days. The position does not have a permanent fixed schedule because our route assignments are subject to change at any time. You will be required to work an alternative schedule within the region as needed to provide backup coverage for leaves of absences, vacations, unplanned absences, etc., on unscheduled days.

Essential Duties:

  • Transports the mobile unit to customer locations.
  • Maintains the truck and trailer which includes checking and maintaining the fire extinguishers, patient lift, smoke detectors and emergency lighting and scheduling and documenting preventive maintenance as necessary.
  • Inspects the truck before and after each trip and submit a report indicating truck conditions.
  • Maintains driver logs according to DOT regulations.
  • May be required to assist the technologist with various duties including transporting patients from the facility to the mobile unit and back.
  • This position travels 100% of the time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • One year recent truck driving experience.
  • Must be 23+ years of age.
  • FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  • Clean MVR No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years. No major violations in the last 5 years (reckless driving, DUI, etc.). No felonies last 5 years. No major preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Must pass DOT Background Check including drug screen.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently, make decisions, work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.

Computer Skills

  • The individual should have the ability to access job related internet websites, email, fluent in use of ELD (can train in ELD).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Testing

  • CDL - Class A
  • Valid DOT medical card

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl.
  • Climb up and down stairs.
  • Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Push and pull wheelchair.
