Job description

PWS Title:  NSWC DLSS Maintenance Tech Support

Location: Pearl City, HI

Clearance Type:  Secret

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAVINST 4790 (series) and as scheduled in the 3M program for all line items of equipment for certified recompression chambers and building air systems, to include high air compressors, air, mix gas, and oxygen piping, MIL-F-22606/ASME/DOT flasks, cylinders and test equipment.
  •  Maintain equipment IAW the system drawings and the certification configuration authorized by NAVSEA.
  • Maintain the PMS SKED maintenance program as work-center supervisor for NAVSEA DLSS (Diver Life Support System) Hyperbaric Recompression Chamber System’s and Building Air System’s.
  • Provide technical expertise for outside contracted maintenance of the NAVSEA DLSS Hyperbaric Recompression Chamber System’s and Building Air System’s.
  • Assist with inventory of repair parts and project needs for procurement. Solicit quotes from vendors and provide Government personnel for procurement.
  • Assist with inventory of HAZMAT and tools.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory using DPAS, or equivalent authorized Government property management system and provide accurate issuance documentation and distribution to SDVT-1 Task Units/Platoons.
  • Assist with the preventative and corrective maintenance of the MK-16 and MK 25 UBA and support equipment.

  • Possess Navy Dive School certification (NEC 5342 M1DV or higher).
  • Must possess qualifications as Navy 3M Work Center Supervisor, DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygen clean system worker, and MK-16 & MK 25 UBA maintenance technician.
  • Possess ability to travel TAD/TDY if required to conduct off site training and maintenance.
  • Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.
