Futrend Technology is looking for a Front End Developer with Python/Django/Postgres experience to join our team of industry leading professionals and forward thinking customers.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces for applications built on Python/Django/Oracle/Postgres back-end services.
  • Work with frameworks such as React and Angular to build reusable components and implement modern front-end features.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data flow.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility (Section 508 compliance), and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications.
  • Test applications for browser compatibility.
  • Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Participate in the maintenance of existing applications and development of new applications using Python/Django/Postgres
  • Contribute to system documentation, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience in enterprise or government projects.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with responsive web design
  • Experience with modern frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Python/Django PL/SQL and relational database management systems.
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of key website design principles.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Git).
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), including presentation skills.
  • Team player and self starter
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active badge with NIH is strongly preferred
  • Hands on experience with Python/Django/Postgres is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with federal government clients.
  • Be willing and able to learn Pytho/Django/Postgres, new technologies and development skills.
  • Experience with PL/pgSQL
