Description:

DSRT SURF isn't a traditional workplace, and we're not looking for traditional people.

We're building a fast growing hospitality and lifestyle brand where surf culture, guest experience, and high performance come together in a unique way. We're looking for people who thrive in energetic environments, take pride in their work, and want to help build something special from the ground up.

This is a fully on-site independent contractor opportunity for DJs, bands, and live performers based in Palm Desert, California, booked on a per-engagement basis. We're building an ongoing roster of entertainment talent and are looking to bring on multiple performers.

What You'll Do

As a DSRT SURF entertainment contractor, you bring the sound and energy to our pool, lounge, and event spaces. Whether you perform as a DJ, in a band, or as a solo or group live act, you'll set the tone for the guest experience across a range of settings, from laid back daytime sessions to high energy nightlife and private events.

  • Support event activations, private buyouts, and themed nights with tailored performances
  • Ensure all material and performances align with brand standards and guest demographics
  • Arrive prepared for load-in, soundcheck, and load-out around scheduled set times
Requirements:

  • Strong stage presence and the ability to read and adapt to a crowd
  • Own equipment or instruments appropriate to your act
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional with strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work varied dates including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to operate as an independent contractor, including providing a completed W-9 and any required licenses or insurance

Who You Are

You bring energy, creativity, and a genuine love for performance and hospitality to every set. You're confident on stage or behind the booth, adaptable to different crowds and settings, and excited to be part of the entertainment lineup at DSRT SURF.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and perform for extended periods, including multi hour sets or shows
  • Ability to lift and transport instruments, equipment, or gear as applicable to your act
  • Ability to perform in outdoor and indoor environments, including sun, heat, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed

Compensation
