Alamo Group Inc. is home to some of the most recognized and successful brands in vegetation management, outdoor power equipment, and agriculture. We are currently seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team.

Under direct supervision, performs duties to receive, retrieve, transfer and store parts and materials for manufacturing operations, reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Maintains accurate inventory. May be assigned to a particular work center or various work centers.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Follows all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment
  2. Maintains housekeeping in assigned areas
  3. Fills requisitions, work orders, requests for materials, sales orders, tools or other stock items and deliver items to production areas
  4. Assembles orders from stock and places on pallets or in baskets, moves orders to packing station, shipping department or trailers
  5. Places received material and excess inventory in storage locations
  6. Marks materials with identifying information
  7. Accurately records locations and amounts of materials or items received, transferred or distributed
  8. Moves materials as required using lift truck or other means
  9. Uses computer and hand held scanner to access information, record transactions and verify data
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):

  1. Must be certified to operate required material handling equipment
  2. Must be able to learn how to read blueprints and use measuring instruments
  3. Should have general knowledge of RhinoAg products and parts
  4. Basic math skills and computer data entry skills essential
  5. Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or GED certificate preferred or work experience in a related occupation
  2. Six months of experience in material handling preferred

Working Conditions:

  1. Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
  2. Must be physically capable of standing / walking / working 8+ hour shift(s)
  3. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
  4. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
  5. Must be able to work in non-climate controlled areas

Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
