Summary
Responsible for administering and organizing all aspects of the basketball program, including recruitment. Ursuline College offers 15 intercollegiate athletic programs. As a member of the NCAA DII and Great Midwest Athletic Conference, we offer athletic scholarships to our student-athletes. This is a full time, 12 month position which begins as soon as possible. Reports to the Director of Athletics.
Responsibilities
Develop the game and scrimmage schedule; Arrange team travel; Order all equipment and supplies; Work with and develop basketball budget; coaching and preparation; Complete required reports; Inventory all equipment before and after the season; Work with the Admission office to coordinate recruitment efforts and campus visits; Participate in all department fund raisers; Take an active interest in the student athlete in the classroom. Must adhere to and follow all NCAA Division II and conference rules, regulations and bylaws.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, experience as basketball coach at the college or high school level for a minimum of 3 years. Demonstrated experience working within a NCAA Division II institution and a multicultural community. Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and the ability to drive vans to and from contests. Commitment to high standards of character as well as a commitment to student-athlete success both academically and athletically.
