As a member of the Assessment and Referral department, the Assistant Director provides direct patient care to include the completion of assessments, assisting in the formulation of treatment recommendation, and guides/monitors staff in the day to day processes of the department with the guidance of the Director. The Assistant Director interfaces with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities; ensures compliance for quality patient care and compliance with the Joint Commission standards, State Health Department requirements, and all other regulatory standards. The Assistant Director will provide leadership for the department in the absence of the Director.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Master's Degree is preferred.
Registered Nurse Licensure (RN) or hold AR Social Worker license including LMSW, LCSW or LPC.
Preferred a minimum of 2 years of previous leadership experience managing a team.
A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
A minimum of two years psychiatric treatment experience is preferred.
Current CPR or BLS certification. (offered at facility)
Current Handle with Care training and Verbal De-escalation training. (offered at facility)
