Ready to kickstart your career in business development?
Hope Builders Career Connections (HBCC) is seeking an enthusiastic, entry level Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow our partnerships and empower young adults to build brighter futures.
This position is hybrid, with the first 30-90 days in person at our Santa Ana, CA office. Must live within reasonable commutable distance of Santa Ana.
As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for new business opportunities - reaching out to potential healthcare and construction partners, sparking meaningful conversations, and helping connect them with our services. You'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing development to grow into a full-cycle Account Executive role over time.
What You'll Do
  • Prospect and Engage: Reach out to potential partners through calls, emails, and networking
  • Qualify Leads: Identify and nurture organizations that would benefit from HBCC's workforce solutions
  • Support the Sales Process: Schedule meetings, prepare materials, and assist senior team members with client follow-ups
  • Learn and Grow: Participate in training and shadow experienced account managers to build your sales skills
  • Collaborate: Work closely with a supportive, high-energy team to help achieve shared goals

What You'll Gain
  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary + opportunity for performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, and 401(k)
  • Remote Flexibility: Work from home while staying connected locally (within one hour of Orange County)
  • Meaningful Work: Every new partner you help connect supports young adults in building self-sufficient careers
  • Career Growth: Learn the ropes of professional sales and transition into a full-cycle closing role
  • Positive Culture: Supportive team, energetic environment, and celebrating wins together

You're a Great Fit If You:
  • Have experience cold calling or selling
  • Enjoy talking with people and building relationships over the phone and email
  • Have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Are coachable and open to feedback as you grow
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required)
  • Can thrive in a remote role while remaining connected to Orange County

About HBCC:
Hope Builders Career Connections empowers Orange County's young adults with mentorship, life skills, and job skills training that meet the needs of employers. Each year, we enroll over 300 young adults impacted by poverty and help them achieve self-sufficiency.
