Job description

Flexihire Talent is recruiting on behalf of Harvest Loop for their Logan Square locations. We're partnering with Harvest Loop as their HR and recruitment team to help them find the right Store Manager to lead this next chapter.

Flexihire Talent is the sole point of contact for this role. Please do not contact Harvest Loop directly. All applications, questions, and updates go through our team.

In-Person Role - Hiring on Locations

  • Diversey: 3415 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL, USA 60647

Lead the team across produce, grocery, and front of house. Set the standard for service and run the store.

We are reimagining what a neighborhood grocery can be. As Store Manager, you will run one of our two Logan Square locations end-to-end. The floor, the team, the numbers, the customer experience. You will have real input in building the systems and culture that grow with us (a café launch is on deck). We are investing in people who want to build a career, not fill a position.

Who You're Working With

At Harvest Loop, we believe a grocery store is not just a place to shop. It is the rhythm of the neighborhood, the small daily ritual that ties us to one another. We are building something bigger than aisles and checkout lines. Our dream is a modern neighborhood market that blends thoughtful curation, real hospitality, and operational excellence. A space that is efficient but human. Tech forward yet deeply personal. We are here to bring joy back to everyday essentials, and to redefine what it means to serve a local community through food, connection, and systems that actually work.

What you will do

  • Own all daily store operations. Sales, inventory, staffing, customer service.
  • Own the P&L. Drive sales growth while controlling costs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 to 12 associates. Run a real 1:1 every two weeks.
  • Hold the bar on merchandising and product quality to match our premium positioning.
  • Build vendor relationships. Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory.
  • Create staff schedules and manage labor.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns with grace.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.
  • Run cash handling, cashiering oversight, and store financials with integrity.
  • Implement merchandising, marketing, and promotional displays.
  • Use our POS and staff portal for transactions, sales tracking, and inventory.

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of grocery management experience (independent, specialty, or premium retail preferred).
  • A proven track record managing P&L and hitting sales targets.
  • Experience with inventory management, ordering systems, and vendor relations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory chops.
  • Excellent communication with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Comfort with retail math: pricing, budgeting, financial reporting.
  • Proficiency on POS systems and modern back-office tools.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Management certifications are a plus.

What success looks like in 90 days

  • You know every team member by name and have built a real working relationship with each one.
  • You have full command of the P&L, your weekly sales, labor, and shrink numbers, and you can speak to why each is moving.
  • You have shipped at least one operational improvement (a process, a vendor change, a display strategy) that the team and the owner both feel.

Career path

Where this role can grow at Harvest Loop. We hire from inside first.
Store Manager --> General Manager --> Operating Partner

Benefits

  • 2 weeks (10 days) paid vacation per year
  • 6 paid holidays per year
  • Health insurance coming 2027
  • Owner-led training and a real path to promote from within
  • Quarterly business review with the owner / operating partner, with input on store strategy
  • Employee referral bonus: $300 when your referred hire completes 90 days

Paid holidays

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (July 4th)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

How to Apply

This role is being filled exclusively by Flexihire Talent, Harvest Loop's HR and recruitment partner. Send your resume and a short note on your grocery or retail management experience, and our team will reach out if it's a fit.
