About The Role

As a key player within our organization, you will work closely with Managing Partners, Operating Partners, and the Home Office to ensure the operational success of our restaurants. You will serve as the champion of hospitality, embodying and promoting Wingstop’s culture and vision at all times. Your role involves directing and holding management, service, and production teams accountable for delivering excellence in both service and operations. Additionally, you will be instrumental in developing and training General Managers to become effective leaders who can in turn nurture their own teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work directly with the VP of Operations, Director of Operations and the rest of the Home Office Team to ensure operational success across all restaurants.
  • Direct and hold management, service, and production teams accountable for excellence in service and operations.
  • Develop and train General Managers to become effective leaders capable of developing their own teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Wingstop’s procedures, policies, and specifications to maintain the highest quality food standards.
  • Lead the hiring, coaching, and direction of General Managers, Assistant Managers, and all other restaurant-level employees.
  • Conduct regular inspections of restaurants to ensure brand standards are met and maintain DOH “A” grade for health inspections.
  • Conduct financial and performance analysis of each location and implement plans to achieve financial targets.
  • Manage restaurant budgets, focusing on sales growth and reducing prime costs.
  • Respond to immediate customer service needs and implement best practices in cooperation with restaurant management teams.
  • Oversee the preparation, setup, hiring, training, and ongoing operation of new locations.
  • Drive employee development initiatives to reduce turnover and foster a positive culture.
  • Create and execute agendas for weekly General Manager meetings.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry, preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial goals clearly.
  • Proficiency in managerial computer systems, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training workshops.
  • Experience in training and development.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate objectives and performance to top-level management.
  • In restaurant execution to create and or teach our processes, this can include Cooking, Cleaning, etc...
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Requires travel at least 80-90% of the time. Regions include Westchester and The Bronx.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
  • Physical Demands: The position’s physical demands require work in a restaurant/kitchen environment with moderate to loud noise levels, varying temperature conditions and possible direct exposure to hazardous substances, such as hot oil. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, travel and react quickly to deadlines, sometimes with little notice. The employee is often required to stand for long periods; walk, bend, kneel, and reach with hands to retrieve boxes or food containers typically weighing 50 pounds or less, without restrictions. May be required to use a stepladder. Finger dexterity is required for use of the cash register. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to travel as needed.
