Manager in Training

Position Summary
The Stand Manager in Training (MIT) is a full-time leadership development role designed to prepare team members for future Stand Manager opportunities within 7 Brew. Through hands-on training, coaching, and exposure to all aspects of stand operations, the MIT learns how to lead teams, drive operational excellence, deliver outstanding guest experience, and support business performance.
The MIT partners closely with Stand Managers, District Managers, and fellow team members to develop leadership skills, operational knowledge, and business acumen while embodying the energy, culture, and values of 7 Brew.
Expected Hours: 35–40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Training
  • Learn and apply effective leadership practices through coaching, observation, and hands-on experience. 
  • Assist in motivating, developing, and supporting team members to achieve performance expectations. 
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy work environment. 
  • Model 7 Brew's culture, values, and customer service standards 
  • Participate in training, onboarding, and ongoing team development activities for current and future new hires.
Guest Experience & Operations 
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience through friendly, engaging, and personalized interactions.
  • Support a culture focused on speed of service, product quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Lead by example in creating memorable guest experiences.
Operations Management 
  • Learn all facets of stand operations, including opening, closing, cash handling, inventory management, labor deployment, and shift execution.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Support inventory counts, ordering processes, and product management activities.
  • Rotate through all shift positions to maintain proficiency and support team needs.
  • Partnership with Senior Shift Lead to ensure all daily Zenput tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor execution of promotions, including:
    • Communicating promotional details to the team (jackpot days, holidays, etc.).
    • Ensuring promotional signage is displayed correctly and remains compliant with company standards.
  • Support the Stand Manager and Senior Shift Lead in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence throughout the stand.

On-Shift Expectations
  • Managers in Training are expected to actively participate in all operational positions and rotate throughout the stand as needed.
  • Managers in Training should balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on support of the team and guest experience.
  • Approximately five hours per week may be allocated for administrative duties outside of normal position rotation.
Performance & Business Results
  • Learn key operational metrics, labor management principles, and business performance drivers.
  • Support efforts to meet sales, profitability, and operational goals.
  • Assist with implementing company initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Analyze business trends and participate in action planning activities.
Training & Development
  • Successfully complete all required management training programs and learning assignments in Brew IQ & Lead IQ Apps.
  • Demonstrate continuous growth in leadership, operational, and business management competencies.
  • Seek and apply feedback from leaders and mentors.
  • Maintain a commitment to personal and professional development.
Qualifications 
  • 2+ year prior hospitality (restaurant, hotel, or retail) experience in a leadership capacity
  • Prior experience in training, coaching, and motivating other team members.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of leading multiple priorities.
  • Experience using scheduling tools, labor management, and operational systems.

Hourly Rate Range:
The Manager in Training roles pays between $24 - $29 per hour inclusive of tips (hourly base rate + tips) 

Success in This Role
The Stand Manager in Training position is intended to provide exposure to leadership and operational responsibilities and to support professional growth in an 6–12-week training period. Participation in this role does not guarantee promotion, continued employment, or placement into any specific Stand Manager future position. Advancement opportunities are based on business needs, individual performance, qualifications, and demonstrated readiness.
A successful Manager in Training consistently develops team members, follows all training program expectations, supports smooth stand operations, maintains strong labor management practices, and helps create an exceptional experience for both guests and team members.
