What is distribution?

Distribution jobs involve the process of moving goods from manufacturers or suppliers to retailers, wholesalers, or directly to customers. Workers in distribution ensure that products are stored properly, inventoried accurately, and shipped efficiently to their destinations. These jobs are essential for keeping supply chains running smoothly and meeting customer demand.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in distribution, and why are they important?

To thrive in Distribution, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high school diploma or equivalent is usually required. Familiarity with inventory management systems, warehouse equipment, and logistics software is essential. Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities help professionals excel in fast-paced environments. These skills and qualities ensure efficient operations, accurate order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction in the distribution process.
