Job Description
The Distribution Center Operations Supervisor will supervise and coordinate distribution center activities which may involve but not limited to, inbound, order fulfillment (picking), value added and shipping operations for finished goods and returned materials. Activities involve managing distribution center associates, processes and systems efficiency to satisfy customer demand while meeting expectations regarding safety compliance, quality, timely delivery, efficiency and cost.
Job Responsibilities
  • By becoming the subject matter expert for distribution center functions under your supervision, fully understand and manage processes, systems, policies and expectations to provide solid guidance to direct reports.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy to meet physical inventory exemption requirements, analyze data and investigate root causes for inventory variances and lead corrective action implementation as needed. Identify and provide coaching to direct reports on as needed basis.
  • Support distribution center leads in resources allocations to different activities and/or departments to balance workload, meeting customer expectations.
  • Monitor inspection and compliance on the operation of material handling equipment as well as potential problems. Notify Maintenance personnel or contact outside service facility for repair.
  • Commit to the elimination of unsafe conditions, using appropriate PPE equipment and complying with pre-established rules (Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and Quality), being aware of internal policies and procedures.
  • Commit to the company's mission, values, policies and objectives, complying with the rules, instructions, internal procedures and the integrated management system, ensuring quality, accuracy, work safety, the environment and preventive medicine, in order to contribute to the valuing people, optimizing processes, sustainable development and better service to internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as directed.
  • Hours are 2nd shift Monday through Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ year supervisory experience
  • Experience working in a distribution center

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-driven approach
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and operational demands
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive results
  • Track record of successfully transforming underperforming warehouse operations, including identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and enhancing overall performance
  • Experience in implementing safety culture
