Job description

Description:

WeTheHobby is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Operations Manager to support and coordinate fulfillment, logistics, and inventory operations across multiple warehouse and fulfillment locations. This role will work closely with Operations leadership to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accountability across all facilities while helping scale operations to support continued business growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage competing priorities across multiple sites, develop operational standards, and foster strong communication between teams. Experience in e-commerce, fulfillment, warehousing, and multi-location operations is highly preferred.


Multi-Site Operations Management:

  • Support daily operations across multiple warehouse and fulfillment facilities, ensuring consistent execution of company standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate inventory movement and product allocation between locations to maintain optimal stock levels and order fulfillment efficiency.
  • Partner with site leaders and department managers to address operational challenges and implement solutions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess workflows, team performance, and operational opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures across all locations to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Monitor key operational metrics across facilities and provide reporting to senior leadership.
  • Assist in workforce planning and resource allocation to support fluctuating business demands across locations.


Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Serve as a key liaison between warehouse teams, breakers, customer experience, marketplace operations, and executive leadership.
  • Help drive a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement across all sites.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development initiatives for operations staff across multiple locations.

Requirements:
  • Experience managing or supporting operations across multiple facilities or distribution centers.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management, logistics, and inventory control best practices.
  • Ability to travel regularly between company locations.
  • Experience implementing standardized processes across geographically dispersed teams.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, or ascend stairs in an office environment.
  • Lift and carry items such as laptops, monitors, and small office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Navigate a typical office setting, including attending in-person meetings or collaborating across departments.


In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated pre-commission salary for this position based upon location in Rochester, NY, and experience is $65,000 - $70,000 annually.
