WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Distribution Center Manager, you are responsible for ensuring our distribution center operates safely, efficiently, and effectively while delivering an exceptional experience for both our customers and employees. You provide leadership for warehouse operations through your Team Leads, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day distribution center operations including receiving, put-away, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and facility organization.
  • Build, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately, damage-free, and on schedule.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and on-time shipment.
  • Develop labor plans and staffing schedules to meet business demands while maximizing efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting, audits, and disciplined warehouse processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Transportation, and Leadership to support customer commitments and operational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies while promoting a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and professional warehouse environment consistent with Advance Displays standards.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, facility maintenance, and capital assets.
  • Assist in developing annual operating budgets and monitor departmental performance against established goals.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS


Must Haves

  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics leadership experience.
  • 3+ years leading supervisors and hourly warehouse employees.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and logistics.
  • Experience managing operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience in retail fixtures, building materials, industrial distribution, or a related industry.
  • Forklift certification and familiarity with powered industrial equipment.
