Job description

Allied Group relies on the efficiency and effectiveness of our distribution centers to deliver material correctly and on time. This distribution professional will manage and oversee inbound activities, inventory control, outbound activities, and safety culture within the warehouse to ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, conformable with Microsoft Office and utilizing scanner technology in a warehouse environment.

Candidate must be able to navigate a dynamic and fast pace environment ultimately overseeing the fulfillment of thousands of product orders every year. Essential Responsibilities ď‚· Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service ď‚· Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime ď‚· Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed ď‚· Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention ď‚· Schedule customers and internal facilities shipments by utilizing our transport network to meet delivery expectations. Information and Activities Critical to Process Quality ď‚· Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals ď‚· Maintain warehouse operations standards and procedures for product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, shipping and receiving. ď‚· Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals ď‚· Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics

ď‚· Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met ď‚· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations Department Responsibilities ď‚· Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service ď‚· Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime ď‚· Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed ď‚· Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention ď‚· Schedule customers and internal facilities shipments by utilizing our transport network to meet delivery expectations.

Qualifications  High school diploma or BA preferred  3+ years’ experience in a operations management role managing hourly employees.  Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy  Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities  Ability to work with all levels of company staff  Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback  Proficient with Microsoft Office and utilizing scanner technology in a warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications ď‚· 3+ years experience in the PVF industry
