Job Overview
The Manager Sales Operations is responsible for delivering the business plan, as defined by the annual budget, and reported in the monthly and annual Profit and Loss Statements. These results are delivered by effectively leading and driving results in selling and distribution excellence, execution, and efficiency. This role requires an experienced cross-functional collaborator and an effective leader of people. The core metrics for success in this role will be Operating Income, Volume, Revenue, DNGP, DNNSI, and OPEX management at or below budget.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drives top-line growth by leading the selling and execution of annual commercial plan within the market across multiple channels of business in the Home Market (CR, Large Store, Value, Drug) as well as supports execution in Foodservice and on-premise
  • Develops and instructs District Sales Managers and Distribution Supervisors across multiple facilities. Accountable for providing resources for learning to create strategic developmental plans necessary to support continuous improvement and career growth opportunities. Drives RED improvement across distribution and sales. Creates a productive, results-driven work environment that achieves its results in a safe, professional, and ethical environment, and provides honest assessments of team members for effectiveness and development
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration partnering with other functional departments including warehouse, product supply, customer management, commercial, and other department leaders to ensure shared expectations are met and exceeded; Establishes management routines to ensure communication between all departments is maintained; Provides input and direction regarding merchandising standards, set integrity, product supply, forecasts and capacity efficiencies, and inventory risks to maximize revenue
  • Owns key customer relationships across the geography to enable and support commercial plan execution and is responsible for delivering excellent customer service in the market. This strengthens community relationships through collaboration and sharing best practices within our industry and developing and influencing solutions for National and local customers to grow profitably
  • Drives safety and efficiency in the business, is responsible for lowering costs in the leading process and discipline across the business area and provides balanced messaging across sales and distribution that results in the delivery of our overall business plan and targets

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Shared Company Ethics/Values
  • 3-5 years of progressive management in the soft drink/beverage industry or commensurate accountability and duties in other industries (likely to be CPG or Retail)
  • Sales management & selling skills preferred (but not required)
  • Distribution experience or operational knowledge preferred (but not required)
  • Proven customer management ability strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership/team management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and interpersonal problem-solving skills including managerial courage
  • Proven collaborator (internally and externally), coach, and role model who inspires others
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong technical skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general platform operations)
  • Proven excellent safety record
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Excellent driving record required (a 7-year Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed)

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications
  • A collected education is preferred for this role but not required
  • A degree preference is not specific as it is the body of language and related discipline that is preferred to make a better business leader
