As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or packages in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a professional presence, help identify and report security-related concerns, communicate clearly with team members, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and/or authorization for entry to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report observations and activities according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
