Job Description:
Who We Are:
Elliot Health System (EHS) is the largest provider of comprehensive healthcare services in Southern New Hampshire. The Materials Management is a vital part of this organization. Here at The Elliot, the Materials Management Department plays a significant role in the supervision of materials like Planning, Purchasing, Store & Inventory Control, and more.
About the Job:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Materials Management and the direct supervision of the MDS Supervisor, the Distribution Technician is primarily responsible for stocking, inventorying and replenishing supplies to user areas. The department also maintains the Pump Depot for the Elliot Hospital.
What You'll Do:
  • Inventories par level carts using an automated handheld device, picks and delivers needed supplies in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Delivers all incoming goods to user departments obtaining a signature when required.
  • Performs all functions of the Pump Depot to include delivering, retrieving and data entry for all requests.
  • Participates in all cycle counts and in year-end inventory.
  • Performs data entry, can comprehend how data entered and received relates to other files and fields within the automated Materials Management computer system.
  • Installs basic traction, cradles, bed boards and good boards in inpatient areas as needed.
  • Adheres to department service policy with 100% compliance. Passes along feedback from user areas to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Completes aisle and par cart maintenance routinely. Removes outdated items, provides general housekeeping for alies/par carts and is accountable for assigned areas. Keeps work area clean and safe.

Who You Are:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Previous hospital or inventory experience preferred.
  • Other: Every Other Weekend/Some Holidays
