A Distribution Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and managing the electrical distribution systems that deliver electricity to homes, businesses, and industries. They play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient distribution of electrical power. Key Responsibilities: Distribution System Design: Design, plan, and optimize electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground lines, substations, transformers, and other components. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Network Analysis: Perform load flow analysis, fault analysis, and voltage drop calculations to assess the capacity and performance of the distribution network. Identify and mitigate potential issues. Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of distribution equipment, perform condition assessments, and recommend maintenance, repair, or replacement of aging or damaged assets. Equipment Selection: Specify and select distribution equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and protective devices, considering factors like voltage levels and load requirements. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that distribution system designs meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry codes.

Collaborate with regulatory authorities for approvals and compliance.
