Job Description

Legrandhas an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Manager to join the Data Center Power and Control Team. This role will work directly with the contract labor team by giving direction and support to implement processes that maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs. The Distribution Manager will foster a “safety first” culture through awareness, training and accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
  • Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics.
  • Sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues.
  • Ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management, Distribution Logistics/Transportation, Industrial Engineering or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years Distribution Center /Operational management experience in a warehouse or logistics position.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of logistics terms and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office 365; excel and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.
  • Thorough understanding of inventory control and/or database management software.
  • Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment, fostering open communication and support in an environment of innovation and creative change.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with numeric data.
