Position Title: Manager, Logistics Engineering

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Coordinate SME (Subject Matter Expert) assignments with cross-functional teams, holding all participants accountable to project milestones and deadlines.
  2. Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations in both timeliness and quality.
  3. Apply customer's operational requirements to model within the Uber Freight optimization framework.
  4. Use advanced modeling to evaluate and optimize the customer's transportation and distribution network.
  5. Utilize Uber Freight market knowledge and leverage existing Uber Freight data for research and development purposes.
  6. Use commercial software to model client's supply chain networks and conduct scenario analyses to support key strategic decisions for the client.
  7. Manage logistics engineers and contractors to ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks and communication with clients.
  8. Present findings to the client's executive management team, defending our recommendations and guiding them in devising future strategy for their company.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires a Master of Science degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a directly related field of study.
  • Requires the following certifications:
  1. Coupa Supply Chain Design
  2. Coupa Network Optimization
  3. Coupa Vehicle Route Optimization
  4. SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9
  5. SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 7
  6. SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst Using SAS 9: Regression and Modeling
  • Requires the following experience:
  1. 5 years of experience solving real-time problems within transportation strategy development through scenario analysis.
  2. 5 years of experience presenting data and findings to executive management from client companies and providing plausible recommendations for future strategy.
  3. 5 years of experience building and managing large SQL databases to store, transform, and manage relational data.
  4. 5 years of experience building and managing business intelligence using Tableau to analyze large relational data sources and deliver reporting and visualizations.
  5. 5 years of experience building complex supply chain optimization models using Coupa Supply Chain Guru optimization software.
  6. 5 years of experience in the Supply Chain Management industry.
  7. 5 years of experience in the Transportation industry.
  8. 5 years of experience leading large-scale optimization projects.
  9. 5 years of experience managing timelines, task completion, and internal project resources.
  10. 5 years of experience facilitating effective communication with customers and ensuring project deliverables.
  11. 5 years of experience in each of the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  12. 3 years of combined experience to include each of the following Google Cloud Platform Tools: Google Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, and Big Query.
  13. 3 years of experience in each of the programming code languages: Python, C++, VBA, Gurobi, and Simio.
  14. 3 years of experience automating data analytics to clean, prepare, and blend data using Alteryx.
  15. 3 years of combined experience using Generative AI and Agentic AI to answer prompts and generate content with minimal human oversight.
  16. 3 years of experience in each of the following Google Workspace programs: Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Experience may be gained concurrently.
  • Hybrid position with 2-3 days a week remote work available. Must reside within commuting distance from the employer's Frisco, TX office. Various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
  • Requires at least 20% domestic travel to Uber Freight offices and customer sites.
