Job Description

The Manager in the Strategic Management Office is responsible for improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes across the organization. This role leads cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing supply chain workflows, reducing costs, and maximizing service levels. The position focuses on operational performance, continuous improvement, and implementing best practices throughout supply chain activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage projects & programs to enhance supply chain efficiency, including but not limited to, continuous improvement, global freight tenders and SAP logistics operating model optimization.
  • Develop a suite of AbbVie generated performance metrics to be utilized by both internal teams and external partners, leveraging these to standardize MBR\QBR's.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the adoption of technology solutions to enhance supply chain visibility and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, logistics, BTS, finance) to identify and propose solutions to supply chain challenges, expedited freight and assessorial freight costs.
  • Design and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for supply chain management.
  • Facilitate organizational change management and communicate strategic priorities effectively across all levels.
  • Support executive leadership with strategic decision-making by providing insight on supply chain performance and industry benchmarks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or supply chain related field. MBA degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics planning, distribution operations, transportation operations and project management experience.
  • Needs to possess a broad business perspective, knowledge and understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • A history of delivering solutions through and managing the performance of outsourced partners, experience with 4PL's/LLP's is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP, SAP TM and BN4L is a plus.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and effective written and spoken communication skills are absolutely critical.
  • Strong analytical skills, operational acumen, and proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly with cross-organizational teams. Ability to work across cultural work environments and experience working across geographies.
  • Experience in strategy development, logistics network design, strategic modeling, change management, and process improvement.
  • Highly organized, strong workload management skills, and proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and financial systems; experience with regulatory/ QA knowledge is desirable.
