Job description

Experience Requirements:

1 – 3 years’ distribution/logistics experience required.

Position Overview: Oversees workforce ensuring execution of daily tasks and activities including, loading/unloading trailers, cross-docking and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company goals and objectives.

 Responsibilities:
  • Supervises logistics operations including customer service, freight, and dispatch.
  • Plans and assigns work to ensure production goals are met.
  • Ensures data is accurate, and proper documentation has been received to support logistics operations.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring existing account base is maintained with particular focus on major accounts.
  • Understands specific customer goals and works diligently to meet those goals.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvements.
  • Inspects deliveries ensuring correct product and quantity has been received. 
  • Operates hand carts and lift trucks to receive product.
  • Monitors productivity to ensure performance and safety measures are being met.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
