  • Conduct site visits for line inventory, hard‑spot identification, and construction coordination.
  • Prepare existing line studies, project cost estimates, material and pole orders, construction bid packages, engineering drawings, and as‑built documentation.
  • Collaborate with construction, environmental, real estate, permitting, and geotechnical teams; foundational design exposure is beneficial.
  • Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships through consistent and professional communication.
  • Provide technical guidance, perform design reviews, and support quality control across project deliverables.
  • Assist in proposal development, including cost estimating, scope definition, and scheduling contributions.
  • Work closely with other Power Delivery disciplines such as civil/structural, distribution, and substation engineering.
What You'll Need to Be SuccessfulMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency with PLS software, including PLS‑CADD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven commitment to safety and customer service.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to enter transmission ROWs and construction sites with appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of transmission line design engineering experience.
  • Prior utility experience, preferably with Southeastern U.S. utilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CAD/drafting experience is a plus.
  • Candidates with an E.I.T. or P.E. are encouraged to apply, though it is not required.

  • Comprehensive benefits beginning Day 1, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Additional benefits include:
