IPEX is a North American leader in thermoplastic piping systems, committed to safety, innovation, and operational excellence. We are looking for a Distribution Center Manager to lead our Charlotte, NC distribution operations and drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Position Summary:
The Distribution Center Manager oversees all warehouse and yard operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, optimizing processes, and leading a high-performing team. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily distribution operations to meet IPEX quality and service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations
  • Manage, coach, and develop warehouse staff
  • Set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and approve timesheets
  • Monitor and improve employee performance
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and control
  • Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Achieve financial and operational targets
  • Ensure proper training and adherence to internal procedures
  • Coordinate communication between HSE, purchasing, transport, HR, customer service, and production
  • Oversee equipment layout, repairs, and maintenance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements (including SAP EWM)
  • Prepare and update performance reports
  • Perform other duties as required

Education & Certifications:
  • College diploma or equivalent experience
  • C-TPAT background check
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (asset)

Experience & Skills:
  • 3-5 years of team management experience
  • Experience with SAP EWM
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to analyze data, manage processes, and provide effective feedback
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation

Working Conditions:
