The Distribution Center (DC) Planner is responsible maximizing the delivery of orders for direct-to-consumer and retail stores to ensure they ship within 24 hours of receipt by analyzing historical data to wave/schedule orders in an efficient manner. In this role, you will focus on optimizing logistics operations, inventory management, transportation planning, and coordinating with various departments to meet customer demand while minimizing costs. If you have strong analytical skills, experience in supply chain planning, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, this role may be a good fit for you!
This position is located at our Camp Hill, PA distribution center.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2:30am-1:00pm
Responsibilities
  • Own the execution of scheduling/waving product based on the direction of the Distribution Planning Manager to optimize delivery to our stores within 24-48 hours of demand generation
  • Support executing systematic waves for off-shifts to ensure there is a consistent flow of work for the production teams that matches the agreed upon capacity of each department
  • Review all orders aged greater than 24 hours and investigate what is required to promptly ship the orders in partnership with operations leadership team
  • Be the subject matter expert in the DC's waving strategy and implement changes to waving templates as customer requirements change
  • Partner with other distribution centers' operations leaders daily to align on capacity to ensure the correct number of orders are released and shipped in the correct order
  • Review the site's capacity plan to provide feedback to the operations leadership team if there is a risk it will not support customer demand
  • Review supplies weekly to provide feedback to procurement manager on any risks of product that might run out and need to be re-ordered
  • Assist with departmental workflow as needed by the site leadership team
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies within department and across the entire network
  • Be the on-site WM subject matter expert for operations, and develop expertise within production control team

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in related field or equivalent distribution planning experience required
  • Demonstrated experience working within distribution center/warehouse space
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data with comprehensive experience building reports in Excel and PowerBI
  • Experience with WM (warehouse management) systems, Manhattan preferred
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who is motivated to learn and use resources in order to excel
  • Ability to respond with a sense of urgency and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
  • Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certifications preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing replenishment strategies preferred

The annual base salary range is $50,000 - $65,000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
