Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for driving safety, quality, service level, and productivity by planning, developing, supervising, and directing all aspects of aftermarket fulfillment operations through the Aftermarket Fulfillment Center (AFC).
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of all AFC functions including goods receipt, quality inspection, put-away, material picking/kitting, packaging, and shipping.
  • Ensures levels for staffing, safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, lead time, and on-time delivery (OTD) are maintained for the AFC.
  • Resolves issues related to past due backlog and implements preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintains procedures and work instructions for all AFC operating functions.
  • Develops and provides continuous training opportunities for personnel to promote and provide growth opportunities within the aftermarket organization.
  • Promotes a safe working environment through leadership and a proactive safety program including managing SafetyHub training for all direct reports.
  • Enables a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety/productivity of the AFC.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and organized facility.
  • Promotes the AFC with Regional Sales Managers, Aftermarket Sales Managers, and sales agents.
  • Administers WorkForce time management for payroll and time off for all direct reports.
  • Hires and onboards new employees including working with recruiters. Also, offboarding of employees as needed.
  • Ensures 24/7 availability for afterhours emergencies (customer breakdown, facility issues).
  • Physical work in the AFC may be required at times to fulfill workload demands and satisfy customer commitments.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with SPXFlow Business Conduct guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Previous supervisory experience with a strong background fulfillment is highly desired. Demonstrate solid operational process knowledge and excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organization. Must be able to manage a fast-paced business and exhibit the ability to remain flexible to fulfillment needs while maintaining an organized, effective, and efficient operation. Number of direct reports varies based upon size of AFC.

SKILLS
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, delivering disciplinary action, recognizing and developing high potential talents.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and well organized.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Intermediate PC skills, including experience using an MRP system, MS Word, Outlook, Excel or equivalent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in fulfillment situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience with SAP.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Managerial, Technical and Health & Safety certifications are encouraged.
  • Associates degree in Business, Engineering or related degree and 5 years' minimum relevant industry experience, or an appropriate combination thereof is required.
