Pay Rate:$22.00/hr + $1 shift differential

BASIC FUNCTION

  • Responsible for batch preparation & material movements (Warehouse and/or Distribution Center) across several different technologies including, but not limited to, powder blending, liquid reactions, and drying operations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (performs one or more of the following):

  • Manufacture products according to predefined process order instructions to meet specific quality standards.
  • Understand and comply with proper equipment, product and work area sanitation policies.
  • Prepares final packaging for shipment of materials.
  • Selects appropriate intermediate or raw materials, performs proper transactions for consuming materials into batch following order of addition.
  • Moves material in various size containers that weigh up to 3,000lbs using material moving equipment, including but not limited to fork lift truck, manual manipulation, pulling, pushing, breaking and rolling drums.
  • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, Food Safety, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines.
  • Assemble, operate, and/or trouble shoot equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • May be assigned to the warehouse, shipping or receiving to perform the responsibilities of the proper movement, loading and unloading, and/or staging of raw materials, supplies, containers and returns using a warehouse management system.
  • Handles containers, drums, and pails of material while staging, storing, loading, and unloading.
  • Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Position may potentially require respirator usage; If position requires respirator usage, you must be medically certified to wear a respirator
  • Forklift operation skills preferred
  • SAP, bar coding/scanning experience preferred

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Basic math, reading and recordkeeping skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products
  • Ability to perform routine work assignments, multi-tasking and following instructions with moderate supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to understand work procedures, methods, use of required equipment and computerized work instructions
  • Ability to operate automated filling equipment
  • Familiar with basic warehousing procedures
  • Must be able to follow written and flow-charted instructions
