Distribution Center Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for the day to day operations and long term strategic planning of the entire site. This is including but not limited to: safety, site performance, operating budget, etc. The site is a newer facility and still growing. The operation has approximately 20 people.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Site lead responsible for the safety and performance of all on-site employees including all operations: receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory and health/safety.
• Expected to manage to KPIs and work cross functionally throughout the organization to meet customer expectations.
• Expected to work within an operating budget constraint framework.
• Owner of the 1 year, 3 year and 5 year tactical and strategic site plans.
• Responsible for delivering year over year continuous improvement.
• P&L responsibility as well as hire/fire responsibility.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
• 3-5 years of distribution center management required as either a DC manager or a medium to large department head.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Ability to operate independently with little oversite. Proactive and committed team member.
• 5+ years of people management with hiring experience required.
• ERP, WMS and Microsoft Office experience required. EPICOR experience a plus.
• Experience in continuous improvement preferred.
• Project management experience a plus.
• Job is located in Palmetto, GA.
• In general, 10% or less travel is required, however initially, more travel may be needed for additional training.
