Responsibilities
Our PJT Park Hill Private Equity team is seeking an Associate to join the San Francisco office. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting distribution efforts across the West Coast. They will be responsible for maintaining existing LP relationships as well as developing new relationships.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Cultivate strong LP and GP relationships; understand how to navigate these relationships to maximize commercial impact and influence key stakeholders;
  • Maintain a deep understanding of both investors and clients, key selling points and challenges around mandates and how best to address with investors;
  • Anticipate investor base needs; use knowledge to direct both sales and sourcing efforts;
  • Provide advice to LP clients on market trends and/or strategies that go beyond PJT Park Hill mandates;
  • "Quarterback" the lifecycle of the sale. Play an integral role throughout the negotiation, structuring, distributing and closing phases of complex transactions;
  • Work effectively with existing project management teams across the firm to ensure effective communication and dialogue resulting in constantly improving distribution results.

Qualifications
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
  • Bachelor degree required with Accounting, Finance, or Economics major preferred;
  • 5 -10 years of fundraising experience, particularly with private equity;
  • Strong investor relationships and substantial experience in managing capital raises;
  • Ability to drive multiple sales processes simultaneously;
  • Demonstrable track record of building client relationships;
  • Strong knowledge of the markets / competitive landscape;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time;
  • A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a global team;
  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;

Expected annualized base salary of $225,000 to $250,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate's relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners' compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners' compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
