Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is looking for a Distribution Center Associate!
Location: Distribution Center Wharf Rd, Dupont, WA
Position: Non-Exempt/Hourly -
Pay wage: Starting at $23.00 / hr! Can increase with on site training amp; certification.
Schedule: Night Shift! 2:30pm - 11:00pm
What You'll Be Doing
  • Unload/load containers and delivery trucks by hand, with forklifts and other machinery while verifying shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Confirm products are in the correct racks and locations in the distribution center while inspecting and checking merchandise for quality.
  • Utilize the computer system to look up inventory information, answer phones, and keep the distribution center clean and safe.
  • Report any product damage and work with the Distribution Center Manager on any accidents or issues in the DC or on delivery floor.
  • Keep the distribution center, tools, and furniture clean and have a friendly final mile white glove services towards customers.
  • Learn product information, furniture assembly, and proper unboxing techniques as well as recycling/trash procedures.
  • Support teammates in the distribution center, in the store when needed.
  • Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.
Who You Are and Must
  • Use a hand truck, understand assemblies, and correctly operate small power tools.
  • Have a valid state issued driver’s license.
  • 18 years and older is preferred.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs., unassisted, moving furniture in distribution center, warehouse, and on possible deliveries.
  • Obtaining forklift certification is required at some of our facilities.
  • Capable of successfully completing our pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening and be subject to random and post-accident drug screening.
  • Regular standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping.
  • Exposure to external weather, heat and cold.
  • Exposure to noise.
  • Exposure to moving machinery/Forklift/Pallet lift.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED, 2+ years’ work experience is a plus.
