Warehouse Lead - Seattle, WA

What You'll Do:

You'll work alongside warehouse associates while helping the supervisor coordinate daily production, staffing, training, and product flow. This is a hands-on lead position that supports order selection, receiving, loading, inventory management, sanitation, and other warehouse functions across multiple temperature zones.

In This Role, You'll:

  • Work alongside the team performing order selection, receiving, loading, unloading, putaways, inventory control, and sanitation duties as operationally needed

  • Lead pre-shift meetings and, under a supervisor's direction, help assign work and coordinate staffing based on planned case volume

  • Train and retrain associates on warehouse procedures, including voice-directed selection, first-in-first-out product rotation, expiration-date requirements, receiving, loading, and equipment operation

  • Monitor and audit selection, receiving, loading, unloading, putaways, inventory, sanitation, and other warehouse processes, correcting immediate deficiencies and escalating concerns when appropriate

  • Support daily production goals by monitoring workflow, coaching associates, and communicating staffing, equipment, inventory, and performance concerns to management

  • Operate and train associates on approved material-handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, scrubbers, and scissor lifts

  • Use email and the JDA warehouse management system to support inventory, receiving, shipping, and other operational needs

  • Coordinate incoming trucks to support timely unloading while maintaining required sanitation standards for work areas, equipment, trailers, and the building

What You'll Bring:

  • At least one year of warehouse lead experience preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience demonstrating the ability to perform the role

  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and other required material-handling equipment; current forklift and reach-truck certification required

  • Experience training employees, communicating expectations, providing real-time coaching, and making sound day-to-day decisions

  • Basic reading, math, email, and warehouse-system skills needed to manage product, inventory, workflow, and operational communication

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, visually inspect products, and repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

The Schedule & Setting:

  • Full-time, fully on-site warehouse position

  • Shift assignment may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs

  • Must be available to arrive before the assigned team and remain through completion of shift-closing responsibilities

  • Overtime may be required when operational needs arise

  • Work is performed across multiple temperature zones, including cooler areas between 34°F and 36°F and freezer areas between 0°F and -10°F

  • This is a working lead role that requires regular time on the warehouse floor and the ability to complete any assigned warehouse function

Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay Range (Base Pay): $28.77 per hour

  • Weekly pay (every Friday)

  • Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
