Job description

We Are

ARE YOU READY to step up and lead with cutting-edge technology expertise? There is never a typical day at Accenture - and that's exactly why we love it.

Cloud First - Software Development is a high-performing team focused on enabling client adoption of disruptive technologies, modernizing applications, and delivering scalable, production-grade solutions. We partner with enterprise clients to solve complex problems by building modern applications from the ground up - leveraging the power of AI and cloud-native engineering.

You Are

You are an AI-Powered Application Lead with deep experience delivering large-scale, custom web applications and leading high-performing development teams. You bring a strong balance of hands-on engineering excellence and strategic leadership.

AI is not an add-on - it is central to how you and your teams operate. You are highly proficient in spec-driven development, guiding teams to use AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and engineering rigor.

You excel at:

  • Leading multiple workstreams and mentoring developers

  • Translating complex business problems into scalable technical solutions

  • Driving adoption of AI-native development practices across teams and clients

  • Delivering measurable improvements in speed, quality, and engineering productivity

You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders and influencing both technical direction and delivery outcomes.

The Work

You will lead cross-functional teams to architect, build, and deliver modern web applications for enterprise clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end solution delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with client objectives and Accenture standards

  • Translate business and system requirements into structured technical specifications and guide teams in leveraging AI coding agents for execution

  • Architect and oversee development of scalable applications across the full stack

    • Front end: React, Angular, or similar

    • Back end: Java, .NET/C#, or equivalent

  • Champion AI-native development practices and embed them across teams to drive productivity at scale

  • Design and oversee implementation of APIs, integrations, and distributed systems

  • Lead cloud-native solution design and delivery (GCP preferred, with AWS/Azure exposure)

  • Oversee DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability

  • Partner with client stakeholders, architects, and product teams to deliver high-impact solutions

  • Mentor and develop team members while building AI-first engineering capabilities

  • Advise clients on adopting AI-native software development practices and operating models

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of full-stack development experience, with strong leadership responsibility

  • Proven experience leading development teams and managing complex delivery programs

  • Strong front-end expertise (React, Angular, or similar) with TypeScript proficiency

  • Strong back-end expertise (Java or .NET/C#), including API and integration design

  • Demonstrated experience building custom, enterprise-grade applications

  • Deep, hands-on experience using AI developer tools to deliver production software with improved output and efficiency

  • Strong experience with spec-driven development and AI-assisted engineering workflows

  • Experience in Agile and DevOps environments with delivery ownership

  • Advanced experience in cloud-native architectures (GCP preferred), CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes

  • Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and integration patterns

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to lead in ambiguous environments and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience establishing AI-native development practices at scale across teams or organizations

  • Experience integrating AI/ML services into enterprise applications

  • Expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems

  • Experience with enterprise security and compliance (OAuth, RBAC, data governance, audit)

  • Strong background in data architecture, modeling, and integration (SQL/NoSQL)

  • Experience contributing to proposals, solution shaping, or client growth initiatives

Why Join Us?

  • Lead high-impact, enterprise-scale application development initiatives

  • Be at the forefront of AI-native software development transformation

  • Shape how teams and clients adopt and scale AI-driven engineering practices

  • High-ownership role with influence on delivery strategy, architecture, and innovation

  • Opportunity to define and scale modern software engineering at Accenture
