What You'll Do:

As an Instrument & Control Systems Specialist / I & C Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and security of our plant automation systems. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with modern control technologies while partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively, and taking ownership of control system reliability and performance. Other duties include:

  • Support and maintain DeltaV control system hardware and software
  • Perform firmware updates, system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management
  • Maintain network security, user access, antivirus protection, and system reliability
  • Configure and support alarm management systems to improve plant performance and operational awareness
  • Monitor and optimize control loop performance using tools such as Emerson Insight
  • Develop and maintain control strategies, loop documentation, and functional specifications
  • Partner with E&I technicians to improve preventive maintenance programs and reduce downtime
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as ValveLink to support reliability initiatives and outage planning
  • Support legacy systems while contributing to future system improvements and modernization efforts

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of industrial automation or control systems experience

  • Experience with Industrial manufacturing, mining, chemical, or heavy industrial environments

  • Emerson DeltaV systems (required)

  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or PLC systems (preferred)

  • Rockwell Automation / ControlLogix systems (preferred)

  • Familiar with safety Instrumented Systems (ISA 84 / IEC 61511)

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
