About the Position: As a DAS Technician at Mountain Wireless, you will support all aspects of DAS/Small Cell installations, including the construction and maintenance of sites. Your daily objectives will include ensuring that work is performed in accordance with all safety and quality guidelines and expectations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret blueprints, design drawings, and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Install DAS equipment, including indoor and outdoor antennas, coaxial cable, and couplers.
  • Troubleshoot RF and fiber line issues.
  • Terminate coaxial cable.
  • Learn and perform line sweeps and PIM testing; Anritsu knowledge is a plus.
  • Provide white-glove customer experience throughout the installation.
  • Accurately report job status daily.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in RF engineering, telecommunications, or electronics preferred.
  • Proven experience in installing and troubleshooting Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
  • Proficiency in using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and power meters.
  • Familiarity with industry standards related to wireless communications (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to obtain a scissor lift certification or already have one.
  • Experience with pulling and handling cable safely.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable conditions.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to take and tag pictures as needed.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Able to pass pre-employment screening, including background checks, drug testing, and MVR.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 20 pounds; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes regularly
• Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several months at a time (90%)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing and participate in random testing program
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
• Position requires working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
• Capability to work in various environments including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with a typical work scheduled of Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements; weekends as needed.
