Job Summary

The Senior Staff Enterprise Architect will define and drive the organization's architectural vision and roadmap for enterprise use-cases in the following areas: Agentic AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, Data strategies for AI needs. This role will also play a pivotal role in aligning IT strategies with long-term business objectives and contribute to the architectural vision for enterprise platforms used to govern and oversee AI implementations.


Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as the technical liaison between business units and IT departments. - (20%)

  • Establish and enforce architectural best practices and standards. - (20%)

  • Define the enterprise AI reference architecture including GenAI/Agentic AI patterns, agent frameworks, ML pipelines, data foundations and AI services. - (15%)

  • Shape AI adoption roadmap balancing innovation with architectural integrity and operational readiness. - (10%)

  • Align AI initiatives with business capabilities, value streams and enterprise architecture standards. - (10%)

  • Lead efforts to modernize and streamline legacy architecture. - (10%)

  • Provide executive-level presentations on architecture initiatives. - (10%)

  • Lead independent research on upcoming AI technologies, their usage patterns and industry impacts. - (5%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience.

  • 12+ years of experience in architecture and IT strategy roles.

  • 2+ years of experience leading large-scale transformation projects.

  • 1+ years of experience influencing AI-related enterprise directions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect

  • TOGAF Certification

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$155,600.00 - $333,300.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $178,900.00 - $416,600.00Colorado: $155,600.00 - $349,900.00New York: $171,100.00 - $416,600.00Washington: $163,300.00 - $383,300.00Maryland: $163,300.00 - $366,600.00Washington DC: $178,900.00 - $383,300.00Illinois: $155,600.00 - $366,600.00New Jersey: $178,900.00 - $383,300.00Vermont: $155,600.00 - $333,300.00Ohio: $155,600.00 - $333,300.00Maine: $155,600.00 - $333,300.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
