Performs physical and technical tests to identify and interpret defects resulting in yield loss, and identifies and investigates component failures to improve yield. Performs electrical validation and fault isolation to products that failed test and finds the physical defects associated with the electrical failure. Documents and communicates findings related to failure to peers, line operators, and managers. Makes recommendations to modify equipment and/or processes to improve yield results. Performs setup of semiconductor processing equipment. Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators. Processes test runs and may prepare records, charts, and graphs of results to identify deviations from quality standards. Ensures continuous evaluation and improvement of standards and specifications, and acts as a role model for quality behavior through Stop the Job (STJ) efforts. Performs and interprets lot dispositions for inline defect, parametric and endofline data, and executes lot set up plans for experiments and other functions. Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work related to integration, process, and yield. Provides critical training support and consultation to peers to strengthen overall team capability. May be fully dedicated to route creation, modification, and troubleshooting of the flow of material through factory using inhouse software. May use database report analysis in order to assist with route modification and outofcontrol material disposition. May perform failure analysis, prepare samples, use an xray scanning electrong microscope (xSEM) to image selected architecture, and report results in a lab or factory setting.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least one of the following:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Technical Area (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Material Science or comparable field).
• 1 + years of hands-on Lab and or manufacturing experience.
• Technical Certification.
Preferred qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with sample preparation using FIB/SEM and/or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) operation.
