Inventory Support Specialist (Review & Disposition) – Irvine, CA
Kelly Services is seeking an Inventory Support Specialist for a long-term position with one of our Global Clients based in Irvine, CA.
This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, and paid time off.
Title: Inventory Support Specialist (Review & Disposition)
Location: Irvine (92618); will work at 2 site – 5 minutes apart daily
Pay: $33 hr (based on experience); plus benefits and PTO
Hours: M-F 8 hr shift can start as early as 6:30am (start between 6:30am-8am)
Duration: minimum one year
Safety Requirement: Steel toe shoes required
Position Summary:  The Warehouse Support Inventory Associate is responsible for supporting inventory management activities related to material review, documentation, disposition, and tracking. This role ensures accurate identification, documentation, communication, and disposition of mixed use inventory while maintaining alignment with established warehouse procedures, inventory controls, and project requirements. The position works closely with inventory owners, warehouse staff, and the project manager to ensure timely and compliant handling of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Review & Documentation:
  • Review an average of three (3) mixed use pallets per day.
  • Photograph and video record all pallet contents to support inventory review and disposition decisions.
  • Upload and associate photographs and videos within the inventory management system tracking.

Inventory Disposition & Coordination:
  • Identify pre reviewed disposition status within the inventory management system.
  • For items pre marked as trash:
  • Relocate materials to the designated disposal area for warehouse staff processing.

For items not pre marked:
  • Identify the material owner using the inventory management system.
  • Contact the owner via Microsoft Teams by sharing photographs or video documentation.
  • Obtain clear disposition direction (trash, keep, or further review).

Recordkeeping & System Updates:
  • Document all owner feedback and disposition decisions accurately.
  • Execute disposal actions in accordance with documented direction.
  • Log all remaining items in the inventory management system, including:
  • Product details
  • Disposition status
  • Corresponding photographs and videos
  • Communication & Reporting

Participate in daily check ins with the project manager to review:
  • Inventory status
  • Open action items
  • Disposition progress

Prepare and submit a weekly summary report outlining:
  • Inventory review status
  • Disposition outcomes
  • Open items requiring further action
  • Notable findings or risks

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and office environment and comply with safety requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency with inventory management systems, digital recordkeeping, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices or cameras for photographing and videotaping materials.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via Microsoft Teams and email.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive, detail oriented tasks.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior warehouse, inventory, or materials management experience.
  • Experience working with disposition, asset tracking, or inventory review processes.
  • Familiarity with regulated or controlled environments is a plus.
  • MS Office/Excel 
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and reposition items as required (within site safety guidelines).
