Clearance Level: Department of Defense issued Secret Clearance or higher
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site Overview:
The Disposition Specialist will provide comprehensive logistics and material management support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD). This position plays a critical role in ensuring the proper disposition, accountability, and certification of government materials in accordance with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services (DLADS) and Navy requirements. Key Responsibilities: โ€ข Integrate and manage the full spectrum of logistics processes across operational, acquisition, and wholesale environments.
โ€ข Direct integrated logistics efforts, develop and implement support policies, procedures, and systems, and provide program guidance.
โ€ข Prepare and enforce directives to ensure effective logistics and material management support.
โ€ข Establish and maintain standards to ensure the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
โ€ข Develop, initiate, integrate, and manage logistics actions supporting life cycle management of weapons systems, subsystems, and equipment.
โ€ข Coordinate with material custodians and DLA Disposition Services (DLADS) for proper material disposal and documentation.
โ€ข Generate DD Form 1348-1s and ensure compliance with DLA disposal and certification requirements. Required Qualifications: โ€ข Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
โ€ข Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in the disposal of government materials.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience working with DLA Disposition Services (DLADS), generating DD1348-1 forms, and coordinating directly with custodians.
โ€ข Familiarity with DLA disposal certification requirements and ability to obtain certification from on-site subject matter experts.
โ€ข Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail. Desired Qualifications: โ€ข Experience identifying and categorizing government materials.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
โ€ข Prior experience supporting Navy or DoD logistics programs. Additional Requirements: โ€ข Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance or higher.
