Job description

Apple is looking for a creative, hands-on, self motivated Engineer who will play a critical role in the design and performance of future displays used in Apple products. Our team has been at the forefront of cutting edge OLED display technology delivering multiple first to market displays with state of the art award-winning display performance.
Description
In this role you will be designing, characterizing and validating the performance of display prototypes, with a particular focus on the optoelectronic function of the display pixels. You will be interacting and collaborating with a highly cross functional multi-disciplinary team of engineers, as well as display vendors as you design of OLED display components. You will also have opportunity to exercise your creativity and add to Apple's intellectual property.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering or Material Science Engineering plus 3 years of industry experience, or MS degree in relevant field.
Experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of optoelectronic materials and devices.
Robust engineering skills including use of: software such as Matlab, Python, JMP, Excel or similar software is required in this role.
Hands-on experience/capability to work with electronic/optical test equipment, R&D lab set-up, and customizing test approach/setup.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in relevant field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high aptitude to collaborate with team members from multiple engineering disciplines.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
Expertise in the electrical and optical design and validation of optoelectronic devices with a particular focus on organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) preferred.
Knowledge and experience in active matrix flat panel displays strongly preferred, particularly in display optics and electronics, fabrication processes, and system design.
Proven track record in product development from ideation to commercialization in the display industry.
Prior industrial or commercially relevant experience will be a key enabler to function in this role.
