You are equally comfortable concepting bold, eye-catching visuals and managing the details of production, fabrication, and rollout across multiple locations. You bring curiosity, precision, and pride to your work continually seeking new ways to elevate the customer experience, refine execution, and strengthen brand consistency.
Position Summary
The Visual Display Designer is responsible for creating elevated, impactful visual environments that bring the brand's luxury storytelling to life across retail windows, vitrines, and in-store focal points. This role blends creative concept development with hands-on production execution, requiring a designer who can balance innovation with practicality. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams and global vendors, the Visual Display Designer oversees display programs from initial concept through fabrication, budgeting, and installation ensuring every touchpoint reflects LAGOS' craftsmanship, quality, and brand standards while delivering scalable solutions across a diverse retail fleet.
Essential Functions
  • Conceptualize, design, and execute luxury visual display concepts for windows, vitrines, and instore focal points across retail and wholesale locations
  • Translate brand storytelling, seasonal direction, and product narratives into compelling, executable visual presentations
  • Develop creative assets including mood boards, sketches, renderings, and detailed design presentations
  • Manage the full display lifecycle from concept through fabrication, production, shipping, installation, and post-launch evaluation
  • Collaborate with New Product Development and cross-functional partners to ensure displays meet aesthetic, functional, and production requirements
  • Partner with domestic and overseas vendors to prototype, sample, and produce high-quality display elements at scale
  • Select materials and fabrication methods with consideration for durability, cost efficiency, timelines, and visual impact
  • Own and manage display production calendars and budgets, tracking costs and maintaining alignment with financial targets
  • Ensure all displays align with LAGOS brand standards, luxury positioning, and merchandising strategy
  • Adapt display designs for various retail formats, window sizes, and regional needs while maintaining visual consistency
  • Prepare and distribute clear production specifications, install guides, and visual direction for
  • internal teams and store partners
  • Coordinate with Retail and Operations teams to support seamless, on-time installations
  • Conduct post-installation reviews to assess performance, durability, and opportunities for refinement or improvement
  • Stay informed on materials, fabrication techniques, and display trends to continuously elevate creative output and execution

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in luxury visual display design, with 5-8 years in retail, jewelry, fashion, or premium consumer brands.
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate brand storytelling and product strategy into compelling visual environments.
  • Deep production and fabrication knowledge, including materials, finishes, durability requirements, and manufacturing methods.
  • Demonstrated success managing oversees vendors, including established relationships with global manufacturers and familiarity with international production workflows.
  • Ability to balance creativity with practicality, designing ambitious concepts that meet budget, timeline, scalability, and operational constraints.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience owning production calendars, budgets, and multi-location rollouts.
  • Cross-functional collaborator, comfortable partnering with marketing, merchandising, product development, retail, and operating teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly articulating concepts, specifications, and execution guidelines.
  • Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; 3D rendering or prototyping skills strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented and solutions-focus mindset, with a commitment to quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
