Police Dispatcher / Records Technician (Substitutes) - 2026-2027 at MiraCosta Community College Share on X Print Application Deadline 6/30/2027 11:55 PM Pacific Date Posted 7/1/2026 Contact Human Resources 760.795.6854 Number of Openings 1 Salary Single Rate 37.08 Per Hour Length of Work Year See Job Description Employment Type Part Time, Temporary Job Summary Job Summary MiraCosta College is accepting applications for temporary, hourly police dispatchers/record technicians to substitute as needed on the Oceanside Campus to backfill for dispatchers during sick leave, vacation, or training hours. Substitutes may initially work 40 hours per week until trained, then would work as needed 18 to 40 hours per week anytime from Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 7:00 am and 11:00 pm. The department will review applications in the pool as needed

Applications are valid through June 30, 2027, at which time they will expire. A new posting for this pool will be posted on July 1, 2027, and those still interested will need to reapply at that time. RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two-hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite.

The purpose of the policy is to promote efficiency and continuity throughout all campus administrative functions, provide students with high quality assistance and accessibility to all academic and campus services, ensure that students receive an engaging education, and respond to emerging student needs. The District may consider an individual request to temporarily reside outside of the State of California or outside the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months.
