NOW HIRING – DISPATCH ASSISTANT
Sunnyvale, Texas
Full-Time Position
Smith Personnel Solutions is currently hiring a Dispatch Assistant for a busy manufacturing and distribution environment. We are looking for a dependable, organized individual who can help coordinate deliveries, communicate with drivers and production teams, and keep dispatch operations running smoothly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with daily dispatch and delivery scheduling.
  • Coordinate with drivers, production staff, customers, and management regarding deliveries and pickups.
  • Prepare and organize delivery paperwork, work orders, shipping documents, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate delivery schedules and changes to drivers and internal departments.
  • Track outgoing loads and help ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations.
  • Assist with confirming delivery times and resolving scheduling issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and dispatch activities.
  • Enter and update information in computer systems and spreadsheets.
  • Help prioritize loads based on production schedules and delivery requirements.
  • Communicate delays, changes, or other issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with maintaining an organized dispatch office and accurate filing system.
  • Perform other administrative and dispatch-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, shipping, receiving, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
