JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Dispatcher amp; Fleet Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between customers, field crews, and internal departments to ensure the efficient scheduling and dispatching of rental equipment and personnel. This role not only provides top-tier customer service and technical support but also takes on key responsibilities in equipment logistics, inventory accuracy, and inter-branch coordination. The position requires a strong sense of organization, urgency, and decision-making to support operational and profitability goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for customers during rental engagements.
  • Dispatch equipment and/or operators with a focus on speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Generate and manage work tickets for field operations.
  • Monitor and understand the financial impact of dispatch decisions to improve company profitability.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to clients regarding equipment selection and usage.
  • Review and prepare utilization and performance reports on a weekly/monthly basis.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures for rental equipment management.
  • Plan and issue daily work tickets for field crews, ensuring readiness and accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in parts, merchandise, and fleet inventory documentation.
  • Monitor and report on the timeliness of all rental fleet activities.
  • Assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits of rental equipment.
  • Coordinate the transfer of equipment between branches or divisions to meet demand.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement approved changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with minimal need for supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and assess the financial impact of dispatch activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or fleet management.
