Job description

Schedule: Monday- Friday; 8:00am- 2:00pm

Location: Command Center at IU Health Bloomington RAHC

Responsibilities:

  • Receives and communicates requests (dispatching) and establishing priorities in order to dispatch internal and external personnel to specific destinations in an organized and timely fashion. 
  • In addition to answering telephone calls, service requests, takes accurate messages or transfers calls to appropriate individuals with a friendly voice and a sense of urgency. 
  • Communicates pending workload, staffing concerns, change and status with other dispatchers and other pertinent information to subsequent shift personnel. 
  • Customer requests are perceived as opportunities to help and requests are either handled or solutions are suggested.

Qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years of experience dispatching in a healthcare maintenance environment or comparable experience required.
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
