Job description

The Role

This is a dual-scope operations role covering both the warehouse and our delivery/logistics function. On the warehouse side, you'll own inventory accuracy, order fulfillment speed, and staff supervision, all running through Epicor's warehouse management system (WMS) — from receiving to pick, pack, and ship. On the logistics side, you'll own our fleet of delivery trucks: scheduling, routing, driver management, vehicle maintenance, and on-time delivery performance. This role requires someone who can manage teams through a system-driven, process-heavy environment, even if they haven't used Epicor specifically before.

What You'll Do

Warehouse

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Manage inventory accuracy and cycle counts within our Epicor WMS
  • Supervise, schedule, and develop warehouse staff (forklift operators, pickers, receiving clerks)
  • Troubleshoot order and inventory discrepancies and resolve them through the WMS
  • Set and track KPIs for fulfillment speed, order accuracy, and inventory shrinkage
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant warehouse

Logistics & Fleet

  • Manage and schedule our fleet of delivery trucks and drivers
  • Plan and coordinate delivery routes for on-time, cost-efficient service
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, registrations, and driver safety/compliance (DOT hours-of-service, inspections)
  • Coordinate load planning and dispatch so trucks leave fully and on schedule
  • Handle delivery escalations (delays, damaged freight, customer complaints) and resolve them quickly

Across Both

  • Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and Mangement to keep product and deliveries flowing smoothly
  • Own onboarding and training for new hires on our systems and procedures
  • Hire, supervise, and develop both warehouse and driver staff
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience managing warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations (building materials, lumber, or industrial distribution a plus, but not required)
  • Experience managing a delivery fleet and drivers — including scheduling, routing, and vehicle maintenance oversight
  • Proven experience supervising a team of 10+ staff across multiple functions (warehouse and drivers)
  • Strong comfort working inside a warehouse/inventory management software system — direct Epicor experience is a plus, but not required. We're most interested in your ability to quickly learn and master a new system.
  • Familiarity with DOT and basic fleet maintenance scheduling is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — inventory accuracy is critical to this role
  • Solid understanding of receiving, picking, and shipping workflows
  • Ability to read and act on data (inventory reports, delivery/route reports, KPI dashboards)
  • Physical ability to be on the warehouse floor and out on the dock daily
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $85,000 and up, depending on experience
  • Benefits include: Paid time off and holidays, health, dental, vision, supplemental benefits, company sponsored life insurance, long-term disability, eligible for 401K match first day of employment, company 401K match.
